Scarce Galeka Tribal Spear
Scarce Galeka Tribal Spear, tapered wooden haft carved with the name “Kreli”, sinew bindings, iron leaf-shaped head with off-set sides and long tang; and another similar without an inscription. Overall 135cms and 170cms respectively. Both in good condition and with good age patina. Note: Kreli was the chief of the Galekas, and the first spear was probably use during the Kaffir wars, South Africa. Categories: Ethnographical
