WW1 British Royal Navy Trio & Long Service Good Conduct Medal Group of Six HMS Ramillies, group consists of 1914-15 star “J 26417 W C BLOMFIELD BOY 1 R.N”, British War and Victory medals “J.26417 W C BLOOMFIELD A.B. R.N”, 1939-45 star un-named as issued, 1937 George VI Coronation medal un-named as issued and George V (Coin head type) Royal Naval Long Service Good Conduct medal “J 26417 W C BLOMFIELD H.M.S RAMILLIES”. Medals are accompanied by some original paperwork including named forwarding document for the Coronation medal, record of service document and certificate for crossing the artic circle. William Charles Bloomfield was born on 11th June 1898 in Shoreditch, London. He volunteered for service in 1913. He was awarded the LSGC medal on 4th November 1932. He served until 1945, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Categories: Medals
