Good Scarce Transylvanian Powder Flask, 17th or 18th Century, made from a section of antler, incised with geometric decoration, body applied with brass and silver studs surrounding an incised brass Teutonic cross, brass mounts incised with geometric decoration overall, heavy brass suspension rings, original bone nozzle and bone charger lever, reverse with old painted collection number 69. Height 15cms. Fine condition and age patina. Note: the Teutonic cross refers to the first European establishment of the Teutonic Knights in Transylvania in 1211.
