Very Unusual Flying Coat Attributed to Lieutenant Gordon Osmand Ox& Bucks Light Infantry and Royal Flying Corps, the coat is a very heavy wool great coat with pressed leather football buttons and the interior is lined in light brown leather like the Royal Flying Corps issue flying coat. Stamped inside with broad arrow W D and 1917. Coat has inked name 2nd Lieut G Osmand to the interior. Nicoll label to the interior collar. Some wear to the leather interior with around the collar area flaking in places. Accompanied by a selection of research material about Osmand and other family members. His son was a Battle of Britain pilot who was killed in action in Burma during WW2 and his father was a well known land owner in Australia. Categories:
