Extremely fine early painted wooden Erzgebirge Noah’s Ark with animals and family, German mid 19th century, the bow bottom ark with pitched roof and dove holding olive branch, the finely painted ark with decorative flower border, painted windows, door and sliding panel, 20” (51cm) long, 11 ¼” (29cm) high, together with 91 pairs of finely carved and painted animals, birds and insects, including rhinos, zebra, boar, elephants, camels, horses, dogs, cats, pigs, deer, lions, bears, and many more, birds include swans, peacocks, hens, storks, and insects including spiders, crickets and butterflies with paper wings, 8 carved and painted family members and 18 single animals, (condition: excellent, no visible loss).
