Great War Medal Pair to an Officer in the Royal Army Service Corps Attached to the Royal Air Force, British War and Victory medals, “2. LIEUT. G.C.P. BIRCH”. Geoffrey Cecil Perigrine Birch was born in Kettering in October 1884, during the Great War he served with the 10th Battalion Royal Fusiliers (service number STK/30) landing in France on 14th August 1915 qualifying for the 1914-15 star. Commissioned on 10th November 1915 into the Royal Army Service Corps his records also indicate he was on attachment to the Royal Air Force. He died in Chichester in October 1933. Categories: Medals
