Rare Battle of Waterloo Period P.1796 Heavy Cavalry Trooper’s Sword Issued to the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons, famous for their ‘Scotland For Ever’ charge at that battle alongside the Royal Scots Greys as part of the Union Brigade, good to very good condition 86cms pointed blade. Standard pattern hilt, one side ‘shaved off’ to prevent rubbing on the tunic, slight wear to the grip. Steel scabbard stamped on the front ‘6 a 24’, probably for ‘6th Dragoons “A” Troop Weapon No.42.
