Great War Casualty Pair of Medals to the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, British War and Victory medals, “241872 PTE. A. SMITH R. WAR. R.” Albert Smith was serving with 2nd/6th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment when he was killed in action on 12th April 1918. Soldiers Died shows Albert Smith as having been born in Canterbury, Kent and having served in the Kent Cyclist Battalion with service number 903, this is not recorded on his medal index card indicating that all his overseas service was with the Warwickshire Regiment. Albert Smith is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium. Categories: Medals
